Teaching life skills

baby classes (5 months - 2 years)

Lack of water confidence can develop in children by 2 years of age. A natural, early childhood reflex is for babies to hold their breath while being submerged.

We will teach parents the correct procedure for this ‘dipping’ technique. Your baby will become a confident ‘water baby’.

Classes are 20 minutes in duration.

Objective of Class

Beginner:

Parents/caregivers are shown how to interact with their baby to best develop babies awareness and skills in the water. Babies are also introduced to arm bands.

Intermediate and Advanced:

Babies become more competent at dipping to retrieve balls, dive sticks, from sitting dives and floating between coach and parent/guardian.
